Sowell on The Republican Civil War

"If it wasn't for articulate conservatives like Ann Coulter, both the Republican Party and the country would be in even worse shape than they are now, for there are extremely few articulate Republican politicians who can make the case for any principle." - Thomas Sowell (emphasis added)

When reading Thomas Sowell's article The Republican Civil War, that line really jumped out at me. In thinking about it, I have to admit that it's sad but true. This reality is magnified by the fact that there are so few outlets for the conservative message in media and in schools. What we are left with is a constant barrage of liberal-leaning ideas and ideals whose corresponding lack of articulate messengers is offset by sheer volume. It's almost ironically fitting that the statement "Quantity has a quality all its own" is attributed to Josef Stalin.
