New Element

Lifted from a friend of mine at http://blog.tellyourneighbor.com/

"Livermore Laboratories has discovered the heaviest element yet known to science.

The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

As I was driving around doing Christmas shopping today and flipping through radio stations, I stopped to listen to a rant from a caller on a talk show. More stuff & new layout

I have refined the site layout. Everything substantive is now linked from the "Get Smart" page. That page lists the various topics. Each topic page has the key information at the top with more detailed information below.

Gas Prices

I never thought I'd see the day. My wife just filled up our van for $35. A couple months ago it cost over $100. Where I live, gas is now $1.80 per gallon. Given that a couple months ago it was over $4.00 per gallon, I never thought I'd see it below $2.00 again.
